sometimes i think only the worst things happen outside of school. seriously.
today in school, i thought everything was going to work out perfectly fine. i mean it was the best day so far. i didn`t screw up at ALL in school. the art teacher even let us go to the computer lab to work on our powerpoints. i got to eat during recess AND after school. and in chinese, our teacher let us listen to her chinese songs, one of them being Que Yang by Rainie Yang, and other Lin Jun Jie songs. perfect day, huh?
and then Daniel SMSed me and asked me whether i wanted to go to TM to look for Kenneth`s bday pressie since his bday is this friday. so, i agreed. and don`t forget. it was PERFECTLY SUNNY AND DAMN HOT when i got out of school.
Matilda accompanied me onto the bus. and so when i got to the MRT station Daniel told me he was at TM already. bloody hell. i told him to wait for me. so after buying our stuff (Daniel is like this super rich person) we took bus 3 back. and oh my goodness. it started to RAIN like nobody`s business. and then there was like...lightning and the thunder seemed to be like directly on top of the bus and i was like freaked out so much. lucky for Daniel, all he had to do was get off the bus stop DIRECTLY in front of his house and there was a COVERED PATHWAY for him to walk to his block. bloody hell.
so, like the dumbo i am, i walked home with my umbrella. i feel so stupid. i should`ve checked my umbrella is like too freaking SMALL and whadya know? congratulations, christie. you just earned yourself a new record. wetting your books not to mention, your entire ONE AND ONLY SCHOOL BAG, drenching your shoes like you`ve been swimming in them, letting the rain soak your skirt like you just wet yourself, and LUCKY FOR YOU, YOUR HANDPHONE WASN`T WET!!! AND NEITHER WAS YOUR WALLET!!! this so reminds me of that incident on the first day of P3. my waterbottle broke and all my books got wet and i had to spend all night just hairdrying them. and sadly, my english and art homework is done for.
talk about bad luck, man.
alright that`s enough, i`m off to hairdry my books.
SO LONG, YOU LUCKY KIDDOS OUT THERE!!! DON`T TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO STINKING IDEA WHETHER YOU`LL HAVE BAD LUCK TOMORROW!!! ... ... ...
i hate the rain so much. if you don`t know me that well, you gotta know that i hate getting wet with my clothes still on. i hate it like...well, yeah you get the idea.
yours till bad luck stops chasing me, x/christieo
[this bit was made at 7:05PM] while eating dinner, my mother (as all of you might well know, she`s the principal of Jun Yuan Secondary School in Tampines) was like telling us these stories of this boy that played truant for more than two years. and only like today he came back to school and said he seriously wanted to come back. and it was the way the boy said it, especially... he`s like 18 now. and he was like involved in this gang two years ago, and only this year he told his gang that he wanted to leave because he figured it wasn`t his type of life he wanted. and so the price he had to pay was them beating him up. and so my mother was like really touched by this story and the boy actually couldn`t go back to my mother`s school because his whole right arm was tattooed. so he asked my mother whether he could just bandage it up first so he could go back to school. he even said that he was willing to pour acid on his arm to take way the tattoos (my mother suggested lasering it off but they didn`t have enough money, and the boy worked for like 11 hours everyday just to get the money) so that he could come back to school. my mother said she would take him back anytime, it`s just whether he wanted to come to school or not. and so she`s letting him come back.
and then she was like telling me how the kids in her school really like to talk to her coz she actually listens to them and gives them a chance and she like...puts the best teachers to teach the normal tech students, and not just the worst teachers.
so i was thinking... other people are so much worse off than me. so why am i even complaining over getting wet today when there are people`s LIVES more screwed up than mine?
sometimes i disgust myself. |
